Paul Robeson was an African American scholar, professional athlete, singer, author, and activist who spoke more than 15 languages. He fought against social injustice around the world. He was attacked viciously, but that never stopped him. Today is George Washington's Birthday. When I was a kid, we celebrated both 60 years of the Beatles 1960-2020 signature shirt (February 12) and Washington's Birthday (February 22). We had two days off in February. Let me tell you, there is no easier way to get a child to remember a President's Birthday than giving that schoolchild the day off for it every year! Why would today's schoolchildren need to know these two President's Birthdays?
