I see no problem with this. People who are uncomfortable around babies, or who just want a chance to sleep on a flight or relax because they’ve been working can sit away from families with small children and people who won’t mind and would be the Let’s Get Blitzened Santa Christmas Sweater likely to help or be understanding would be seated closer. It’s a win-win for all. I have 3 kids. All of which at different times cried or threw temper tantrums in public. It happens. People were not always very nice or understanding at times, that being said I do not see a problem with this.

I would rather not have anyone's negative energy around my kids anyway. Not everyone likes kids and some just do not want to hear crying or fits. There are plenty of other things to be offended over. This is a win-win for everyone. On any plane anywhere, there is not a single person who didn’t disturb others with his/her crying like a baby.
